Pottery for Teens: Wheel Techniques (ages 13-18)

Tuesdays: 4:00 - 6:00pm
Thursdays: 4:00 - 6:00pm

A basic introduction to the potter’s wheel: wedging, centering, throwing and decorating techniques. Free expression is encouraged in both functional and nonfunctional ware. This class is for students attending Middle and High School and beginners are welcome. Teen classes do not include open studio hours.

Tuition
The teen class tuition covers everything—class instruction, clay, tools, bisque firing, and final firing of work produced during the session. All work is fired to cone 10 in a gas reduction kiln. Please see the Glen Echo Park website for specific class listings and registration information.

Make-up classes:
Because both of our teen classes are always full, and all other daytime hours are scheduled for adult classes and adult open studio, it will probably not be possible to arrange any make-up time for classes missed. Please consult your instructor directly if you want to pursue a make-up class for your teen. All make-ups must take place during the current session.
